Every month, the Bridge Center will invite a speaker to participate in a monthly speaker series related to ethical issues in biomedical research.
This month, Dr. Shannon McWeeney discussed the ethical and quality assurance challenges posed by AI in healthcare, including bias, data drift, and system opacity. The talk highlighted insights from a major AI rollout that applied responsible AI principles and clinician feedback. Dr. McWeeney also noted a shift toward more flexible, equitable evaluation frameworks over centralized assurance labs.
