Every month, the Bridge Center will invite a speaker to participate in a monthly speaker series related to ethical issues in biomedical research. 

This month, Hortenese Gallios presented on the concept of trustworthiness metrics for AI, using voice AI technologies as a central example. She examined how safety and efficacy played critical roles in establishing trust, alongside ethical, legal, and regulatory considerations. The discussion introduced potential metrics for evaluating trustworthiness and explored possible ways forward to ensure the responsible and reliable use of voice AI, particularly in sensitive domains like healthcare.
