About Bridge2AI Data Standards
Bridge2AI’s data standards efforts support the consistent, high-quality collection, sharing, and reuse of biomedical and behavioral data across all Bridge2AI Grand Challenges. This work is guided by the Standards, Practices, and Quality Assessment Working Group, which brings together community input to define and coordinate best practices for how data are structured, evaluated, and shared.
These standards are designed to be broadly applicable beyond Bridge2AI, support reproducible and credible scientific outputs, and evolve over time with clear documentation and provenance. Through shared tools, transparent benchmarking, quality assessment, and open, collaborative development, Bridge2AI enables practical adoption of data standards across the broader research community.
What is AI-Readiness?
AI-readiness describes how well data can be used—responsibly and effectively—for artificial intelligence and machine learning (AI/ML). This includes using data to train models, organize or classify information, and generate predictions that are ethical and understandable. The Bridge2AI consortium has defined clear criteria that biomedical datasets must meet to be considered AI-ready.
